Lakeville Food Shelf Volunteer

The Lakeville Food Shelf has volunteer positions available to help clients when they come in to our facility. Depending on the volunteer role, our volunteers: greet clients, connect clients to resources, meet with clients when they come for food shelf appointments and update client information in our database, stock or organize the Food Shelf and help clients as they shop in the Food Shelf. We ask volunteers to be willing to commit to a minimum of one three hour shift per week on an ongoing basis.
Food Shelf: help the families as they grocery shop in the food shelf, weigh families outgoing food, help load groceries into families’ vehicle, ensure shelves are well stocked, clean and organize the food shelf and other miscellaneous duties as identified. We require the ability to commit to one, 3 hour shift per week, on an on-going basis. Training will be provided. Need to be able to lift up to 20 pounds or the equivalent of a full grocery bag.
