FEBRUARY IS TEEN DATING VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH

The Centers for Disease Control has some sobering statistics:
  • Every year, one U.S. teen in four reports being verbally, physically, sexually or emotionally abused by a dating partner.

  • In 2009, 10% of U.S. students reported being physically abused by a boyfriend or girlfriend.
February is a time to shed the light on teen dating violence in our communities.

Confident and healthy young adults are one key to a strong future for all of us. That's why 360 Communities has a number of resources to support teens who have experienced some form of dating violence.
