Plan Your Own Fundraising Events
Take Charge of Strengthening Our Communities
Many of you have inspired us by organizing your own fundraising events, and in turn, demonstrating the meaning of a 360 community.
We’ve gathered tips and examples from the experts (businesses and individuals in our communities) to help you merge your passion of giving back to the community with other interests, while meeting new people that share the same values; and maximizing the donations that go directly to changing lives and strengthening communities!
Tips to Organizing Your Fundraising Event:
-
Think about a cause you care about, whether its supporting our community engagement efforts, preventing violence, or increasing school success
-
Start with a reasonable fundraising and participation goal. The Burnsville Disc Golf Club held their first annual “Ice Bowl” this January where 25 attendees braved the cold!
-
Tell your personal story to show why the cause is important to you
-
Get creative in choosing the type of fundraiser. Here are some real-life examples:
- Electro-Voice joined forces with local band GB Leighton for a free concert
- The Vermillion Wild Game Feed fed over 100 people in exchange for donations
- The annual “Leaf Cruisers” road rally combines one group’s love of driving with giving
