  • Businesses want recognition and to know they are important to the community.
  • Burnsville is aging – what is the impact?
  • Find the leaders and bring them in.
  • We don’t have to get everyone to believe in us – we just need to have the leaders participate.
  • Reach out in a very public way.  There are well kept secrets in Burnsville.
  • Brand it!
  • Market jobs – posting job opportunities in community.
  • Strengthen partnerships with post secondary – train for jobs.
  • Feeling that national trend needs to be addressed locally.
  • What to do about economic well being for the low to middle income.

  • Partnerships – businesses that are expanding – local support – Goodrich, COSTCO, Integra
  • How to address barriers to bringing in business?
  • Role of Chamber, City Council?
  • Program for unemployed.
